Awakenlife is first and foremost about living two ideals: the self-acualization of the individual (the striving to manifest one’s creative potential), and the cooperation of creative individuals for the betterment of the whole of society.
Within each person is a wellspring of dynamic power that can be tapped and shared by anyone who is couragous enough to take responsibility for his perspective and disciplined enough to enhance and expand his imagination by comtemplated and realizing new and more beautiful ways of being.
Once a person connects with the creative force within him, he soon learns that this power is best expressed and experienced when used to serve others and to serve with others. The individual augments his power by serving his family. The family, in turn, can further develope its influence by serving the neighborhood. Then the neighborhood can powerfully serve the commonwealth, the commonwealth the nation, and the nation the world. Individuals, families, communities and states motivated by loving service can exponentially magnify their influence by networking and cooperating with other likeminded people and groups.
Because the ideals of personal awakening and playful cooperation inspire us more profoundly than the tedious pursuit of ever-increasing material gain, our company primarily strives to encourage people to discover and develope their talents for creative service. Right now, we (a group of people living in and around Beverly, MA (oh sweet Beverly, may I always sing your praises)) work for awakenlife as a hobby and welcome any pro bono colaboration. Relatedly, any monetary profit we encounter will be used to support people as they serve their fellows. We will actively seek out creative, service-motivated, cultural artisans and work to create jobs for them, jobs tailor to their specific needs and abilities that maximizes their specific skills for service. This method creates a working experience that is interesting for everyone. We want to stop the trend of brilliant people compromising their creativity in order to get by. than trying to fit dynamic, spontaneous personalities into static, prescribed jobs that only offer money as payment for compromising one’s creativity.
Relatedly, our designs are expressions of our encounter with creativity within ourselves and each other, and our merchandise is a means of sharing two messages; every person embodies unquantyable dignity, and all people are brothers and sisters. If anyone has a design or message to share with the world, we would love to help spread the goodness. Our discussion board is intended to be a resivoir of learning where people are encouraged to share their thoughts, poems, book/film reviews, and words that might embolden us to imagine and cocreate new ways of being. We believe that lasting power is the type that empowers others to empower others; we will network and become powerful communities of action devoted to participating in the advancement of planetary civilization; challenging common beliefs about the limitations of humankind.
